Dr. Alan Rosen is one of Houston's leading hand and upper extremity specialists working to provide less invasive, more advanced treatment options to patients suffering from many of the most common orthopedic conditions affecting the young and elderly in today's active society.
From joint reconstruction and arthroscopy to endoscopic cubital and carpal tunnel releases and the repair of fractures and dislocations, Dr. Rosen understands the importance of the right treatment plan to ensure superior long-term results and quality of life for his patients.
Dr. Rosen is on the executive board of the KSF Orthopaedic Center P.A. and is also the Chairman of Governing Board for TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital.
Before joining the KSF group of specialized surgeons over 10 years ago, he completed his internship and residency in general surgery and orthopedics at Stanford University in California and a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery at Cornell University Medical College (Weill Medical College of Cornell University) in New York.
Dr. Rosen has been recognized in his field as one of the first hand and upper extremity specialists in Texas to utilize a new technique in the treatment of humerus fractures: performing a distal humeral replacement using a new advanced hemiarthroplasty implant. He is among the first hand surgeons in Northwest Houston to offer less invasive endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures, now routinely performing mini open carpal tunnel repair and revision carpal tunnel surgery as well.
A published author, Dr. Rosen continues to open new doors in the advancement of hand and upper extremity orthopedic care: while conforming treatment plans to the lifestyle and personal needs of each patient.
